Who even is this lady? And what does CMHC even mean?
Hi, my name is Rose (if that wasn’t clear by now, I need to work on my marketing.) I am a fully licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), available in person in the state of Utah and over telehealth. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 2022. I did my internship in grief and bereavement therapy, then worked in addiction treatment for a year. I moved into an outpatient setting to complete my licensing hours, and then opened up my own practice.
I have been through breakups. I have initiated breakups. I have felt like life wasn’t worth living after the end of a significant relationship. I moved to a different state for a partner ( it didn’t work out.) I moved to another different state for another partner (this time it worked out.) I have been through many relationship ups and downs and the whole time struggled to cope with the parts of me that were in pain, lonely and severely anxious about my future.
After studying psychology and mental health counseling theory, and attending my own therapy, I know these parts of me much better. I have an understanding of myself that is complex and compassionate, and that is based in a loving and accepting relationship with myself. This relationship has been the base from which my own mental health grew into self love and confidence. I can help you do the same.
